The Veiling of the Statues
It’s the 5th Sunday of Lent. What a beautiful tradition we have in veiling the statues in the church until Easter. These mysterious shrouds remind us of the shroud of death that will separate us from each other, for a time, until the day of the Resurrection.

My hometown church used to keep some of the statues covered all during lent - and then stopped. I think it changed once we got a new pastor - but I haven’t seen any covered since. I remember it from when I was little!
