The Feast of the Annunciation is normally celebrated on March 25th (9 Months before Jesus’ birthday) but the celebrations of Holy Week and The Octave of Easter take precedence, so we celebrate it today, the first available opportunity. What a beautiful set-up this year: We just celebrated Jesus’ passion, death and resurrection and now we begin the cycle again by celebrating Mary’s “YES” and His conception the day after Divine Mercy Sunday. I love the Catholic Church!
